1. How does the selection of professionals (photographer, beauty artists, etc.) work?
Every element of our packages has been carefully crafted to ensure an exceptional experience.
When you book a LaVini package, you gain access to our exclusive network of trusted artists and partners, chosen for their quality, artistic sensibility and professionalism.
Photography
All packages include a lead photographer-guide — the person who directs, captures and visually narrates your story — and a second photographer, who provides technical and logistical support while documenting behind-the-scenes moments with a natural, candid approach.
Together, they ensure complete coverage and a relaxed atmosphere, allowing you to fully enjoy every moment.
Beauty (Hair & Makeup)
From the LAVINI Experience package onwards, you gain access to our Beauty Collective, composed of carefully selected professionals.
Based on your style and date, we present 2–3 available artists for you to choose from.
Floral Design
Our process is collaborative: you share your inspiration, and our master florist creates a bespoke concept using the most beautiful seasonal flowers.
2. Can we hire professionals outside the LaVini team?
Yes — with one important exception: the lead photographer-guide is always from our internal team and cannot be replaced.
This ensures visual consistency, technical quality and a smooth dynamic on the day.
Other external professionals (such as videographers, florists or musicians) can be included with prior communication. However, we do not recommend it, as our partners have years of experience working with us, ensuring fluidity, punctuality and complete trust.
In nearly 10 years of work, we have never had delays or delivery failures — a track record that is central to our promise of tranquillity.
3. Can we bring guests to Package 1 – “The Romantic Hideaway”?
Yes, you can bring guests — simply let us know in advance so we can assess whether any price adjustment is needed.
In most cases, if the guests are only observers, the price remains unchanged.
For comfort and logistical reasons, we recommend a maximum of 10 guests.
If anyone has reduced mobility or advanced age, please inform us beforehand so we can ensure the location is safe and accessible.
4. Can we bring a family member or friend to be the celebrant?
Absolutely.
Many couples who choose The Romantic Hideaway bring someone special to officiate the moment, making the ceremony even more intimate, authentic and emotional.
5. What about videography and behind-the-scenes clips?
A full cinematic film is not included in the base packages but can be added as an optional extra.
We work exclusively with top-tier videographers who share the LaVini aesthetic.
Regardless of this, all packages include raw behind-the-scenes mobile video clips, captured by the second photographer.
These short clips are genuine and spontaneous — perfect for sharing on social media or editing as you wish.
This way, even without professional video, you still have lively and authentic memories of your day.
6. What happens in case of cancellation?
We understand that unexpected situations can happen.
Because this is a personalised service with a specific date, payments are non-refundable under Portuguese law.
However, to ensure fairness and flexibility, we offer the option to convert the amount already paid into a credit voucher, valid for up to 2 years, which can be used for any LaVini product or service — whether rescheduling your wedding, booking a new photoshoot, ordering an album or enjoying another experience with us.
7. Are the ceremonies legally valid?
Our ceremonies are symbolic — created to celebrate your love with beauty and emotion, without bureaucratic complexity.
Most of our international couples handle the legal part in their home country.
If you wish to have a civil or religious legal wedding in Portugal, we can guide you through the process with the help of our specialised legal partners.
Our support includes:
- Legal Feasibility Consultation (100€): a complete analysis of documents, timelines and costs.
- Full Assistance: if eligible and desired, our team and partners manage the entire legal process, ensuring complete security before any investment.
You only move forward once you have absolute confirmation of legal viability.
8. Do you offer printed wedding albums?
Yes.
After delivering your digital gallery, we curate the images that best tell the story of your day and create an artistic, cinematic layout.
You receive a digital proof for small adjustments, and once approved, the album is produced in a fine-art laboratory with premium materials and shipped to your address.
Collections start at 1,000€, and each album is crafted as a unique piece — made to be touched, lived and cherished.
9. How do booking and payment work?
The process is simple and transparent:
1. Initial Contact
Send us an email letting us know which package you are considering.
2. Proposal Confirmation
After analysing your needs, we confirm the most suitable proposal and proceed to payment.
3. Flexibility During Planning
You can request adjustments — such as extra floral arrangements or additional services — either from the start or throughout the planning process.
4. Payment Schedule
- 30% deposit to secure the date
- 40% halfway through planning
- 30% up to 7 days before the event
All values are subject to VAT (23%).
Payments can be made via international bank transfer or Wise.
10. What does the planning include?
Your wedding planning includes:
- Unlimited messages via email and WhatsApp
- A detailed day-of timeline
- On-site coordination and management of all vendors
- Recommendations for additional vendors, if needed
11. How does catering work and how much does it cost?
Catering costs depend on the chosen venue and menu style.
On average, menus start from 150€ per person, but this can vary depending on the location, number of guests and culinary experience desired.
12. What is an elopement photographer-guide?
A photographer-guide is much more than someone who takes pictures: they transform an intimate wedding into a complete, meaningful experience.
At LaVini Weddings, our photographer-guides — trained by founders Helena and Lucho — plan the best timing, the ideal light, the day’s flow and the emotional rhythm of the experience.
It’s not just about photographing; it’s about helping you live moments that truly matter.
For this reason, all our packages include photographer-guides.
With them, you don’t need a traditional wedding planner—unless the event requires one due to its size or complexity.
